/ AVNET SUPPORTS COOLEST PROJECTS 2025
STEM education shines through Raspberry Pi’s Coolest Projects, a worldwide event Avnet supports this year. The experience aims to celebrate young creators and the incredible things they build using technology and coding.

Hosted by the Raspberry Pi Foundation, Coolest Projects provides a platform for young people globally to showcase their coding and digital-making skills. Coolest Projects gives youths 18 years and younger the opportunity to showcase their projects to an incredible community of makers. With both an online showcase and in-person events across multiple countries, this initiative inspires creativity, problem-solving and a passion for technology.
How Coolest Projects works
Coolest Projects is open to young people of all experience levels. Participants can create a new project or submit something they’ve already built and are proud of. Projects can be entered into one of seven categories: scratch, games, web, mobile apps, hardware, advance programming and artificial intelligence (NEW for 2025!)
Every project is reviewed by a panel of judges who provide valuable feedback, making the event a positive and educational experience. Projects are then showcased worldwide.
The impact of Coolest Projects is undeniable. In 2024, almost 7,200 young creators from 43 countries showcased their projects, ranging from an app that tracks ultraviolet radiation exposure to a Scratch game featuring a doughnut-clicking challenge.

Avnet's dedication to STEM
Avnet is one of the only electronics industry companies sponsoring Coolest Projects, which reinforces our dedication to STEM education. As a sponsor, Avnet supports the virtual competition and welcomes participants worldwide, helping young creators bring their ideas to life.
“We believe the future of technology starts with empowering young minds today.
